Is The Stock Market is GAMBLING/BETTING??

In India now also many people think that the stock market is just a place to GAMBLE and win a huge amount in just a few minutes or in a few days. People think that if they invest in the stock market there money will get doubled overnight but that's not true. If you ask me that if the Stock Market is GAMBLING my opinion to this thought is that I don't think so that the stock market is GAMBLING.

As there is a famous saying by the legendary investor MR.Warren Buffett

I also totally agree with this as Mr.Buffet is the greatest investor of all time and mentor of many people. As in India if a person wants to invest in the stock market many people will say to him that the stock market is GAMBLING that the stock market is very RISKY don't invest in the stock market you will lose your money. I am not saying that the stock market is Risk-Free it also has some risk involved in it.

Reasons why people lose money in the stock market  

1. They invest blindly in the stock market they do not have proper knowledge of the stock market.
2. They also take advice from the people who also do not have proper knowledge of the stock market.
3. They are impatient they just want that if they invest now in the stock market tomorrow their
     money will get doubled but that's not true

4. The people think that stock market is the place to try luck but that's not true and they lose the money they thought that today is not their lucky day and try next day and this cycle of loses continue

so, all just I want to say that just don't follow the people blindly do your research gain some knowledge about the stock market and then invest as you are thinking that gaining stock market knowledge is tough and we will not be able to understand the stock market. Trust me guys Stock Market is not Rocket science there are many examples of people who are not much educated but earning crores in the stock market as I personally think that a stock market is a place where anybody can create wealth just start with a small amount like Rs.500 a month and invest in an Index fund for a long term and you will the magic of compounding. Let's leave it for a while we will talk it about later but for now just start learning or focusing on the basics of the market.
